HHCOT is one of An-Najah National University colleges in Nablus, northern part of Palestinian Territories. It has started operation two decades ago as a post-secondary vocational and technical education and training college. It offers many programs for qualified technician level. Its mission is to produce graduates are able to operate at the highest degree of competence in their technological specializations. It has an annual enrolment of three hundred students in its formal education programs, and almost the same for its non-formal training programs for local professionals and other beneficiary parties. It comprises an active automotive training department with well planned facilities and wide range of training equipment and teaching resources. Furthermore, its highly qualified staff includes teachers and professional instructors. In the same direction, it has established an Automotive Technical Institution for inspecting ground vehicles.
Partner role in the project
HHCOT is very active in providing technological knowledge and training in fields related to automotive engineering in the northern part of Palestinian Territories. The training is focused on providing technical skills and competencies to target groups in response to the technological development in the automotive field. Based on the college mission, it will provide qualified staff and resources for the project activities in order to achieve its final objectives regarding the building of the competence network. Its staff will take part in the training and in the development of the curricula for technical and professional levels. Also, it will provide staff and facilities for conducting local training and pilot testing of the developed curricula for ground vehicle maintenance.
